Sonnet: Man Sins Often

Why do we slip into sin so often? ’Tis natural for man to commit sin; We think the devils’ attacks will soften; But how many can give up drinking gin? Man thinks, he’s smarter than all the devils; Man succumbs to temptations most of time: Man does less good but keeps doing evils; His nexus with the devils becomes prime. So, God allows problems till man atones; This is the time when man thinks about God; Thus, man repents for all his sins and moans; Heaven’s mercy rains down on him from Lord. Yet, man will continue to sin again; From punishing him, God does still refrain.
