Sonnet: The New Year 2007

The old year’s gone! The new one has begun! The world’s most precious need is global peace. ’Tis better nations abandon the gun; Let suspicions and rivalries all cease! This earth is one and mankind is one race! No one can live all independent days; It does not matter what color or face; Align must man with Nature in God’s ways. The earth can’t bear pollution anymore; Our labor hard will give victory with time; No nation must to neighbors turn eyesore; “Preserve the environ’s”- our duty prime.
