Sonnet- When Old-Aged?

When silver wires grow on sun-tanned head, And creaky joints can’t bear my body’s weight; When dizzy goes my head when up from bed, A stooping posture lessens my true height! When ears hear less and ‘mist’ obscures my eyes, Edentulous, my food-tube can’t grind well; When life’s problems have made me extra wise; I trip with ease and smells, I cannot tell! When bones lose calcium and then with ease crack, A stick I need to support when I walk; When speed of things I do has gone quite slack, And many souls can’t find time for kind talk! When my desires are in cold storage, I know I must be pretty old in age!
