When Akiba was on his deathbed, he bemoaned to his rabbi: "Rabbi, i am a failure. I have not achieved anything in my life. Why should I live like this? " His rabbi moved closer to him and asked why. Akiba confessed: "I did not live a life like Moses. I am just a failure". The poor man began to cry and said: " I fear God's judgement". At this the rabbi hugged him and told in his ear: "God will not judge Akiba for not being Moses. God will judge Akiba for not being Akiba".
