It Is Both 'either Or'and'neither Nor'.

The paradox in a mystical experience extends to the creations of conditions conducive to the ultimate experience. it is not a matter of theology of light or darkness, affirmation or negation, immanence or transcendence. It is both 'either or' and 'neither nor'. Man's participation is both active and passive, but the control does not lie with him. It is the cloud of unknowing into which we fall back, when we think of God. One can only experience the presence of God. This experience lies beyond expression.
