There is no indication
anywhere in the
Scriptures that
Jesus was afraid
to suffer and die.
He was not trying
to avoid the Cross.
Jesus was
overcoming
Satan.
Once this was
accomplished
and the way to
the Cross was clear,
Jesus was as
serene as anyone
you can imagine.
