In a mystical experience,
the division between subject
and object disappears.
One does not look at God as
an object nor look at
oneself as an object.
The man who knows God
in the full mystical sense
loses interest in divine
or self-objectification.
The mystic seeks to gain
a direct existential grasp,
a personal experience
of the deepest truths
of life and faith,
finding oneself
in God's truth.
One can only clear away
the obstacles and dispose
himself for the union.
