The idea of beauty,
had been reduced
to that of a merely
this-worldly aesthetics.
But theological aesthetics
teaches us that the beauty
is of God's glory.
The beauty of the
divine being has
disappeared from
theological discourse.
The attainment of
independent status
of aesthetics,
compartmentalizing
it from the
transcendentals,
had a negative
consequence of
insulating it
from a holistic
understanding
of theology.
