Chandraghanta- A charming Goddess Adorned with half-moon on her forehead, Shaped like a bell, so enchanting! She is hailed as ‘Chandraghanta' ‘Chandra' meaning a moon ‘Ghanta' means a bell. She is bright and beautiful like the moon An epitome of peace and tranquillity. Chandraghanta is cool, calm and composed To her ardent ‘bhaktas' or devotees But she can be fierce and frightening with Her ten hands and three eyes, Holding swords and other weapons, Ever ready to vanquish her deadly enemies. O Mother Goddess Chandraghanta! Please come! Riding on a lion! Protect me from the deadly enemies, And hold me in your arms, safe and secure.
