Vincent was so focused on his work, That he thought of nothing else but his art! This gave him immense joy! He plucked out the pain from his heart, Threw them far, far away. Only art mattered now and he was happy! There was no communication with His younger brother Theo for over a year. In this happy frame of artistic mind. Vincent decided to break the ice. What is the point in holding on to pride? He wrote a casual but a hearty letter to Theo. 'Dear Theo; Send me ‘Les Travoux des Champs' by Millet. Do not fear for me. If I can only continue to work, That will somehow or other set me right again. I write to you while I am busy drawing And I am in a hurry to get back to it, So good night, send me the prints as soon as possible.' As Vincent kept sketching, a new desire creeped into his mind. Another artiste should see his drawings and paintings. He felt his paintings were pretty bad with no dimensions. He needed an artiste who would critically evaluate his work. He wanted to know what was wrong with his paintings. Only a discerning eye with experience could point out his lack. Vincent wondered whom he could go to for an opinion. All these days, while he feverishly made sketches, Vincent had hardly eaten any food. He just managed with some dry bread, all through winter. He wished to know artistes who were struggling like him, Poor in wealth, may be, but wholly devoted and rich in art. A Biographical Poem!
