Captain Lightfoot
So they called him
Though he was not of the name
Yet his manoeuvres
Born him out
Thus they called him
In his life
Obtained promotions
Early one after
That at thirty he was a colonel.
Arduous the task and battles that awaited him.
Each year nowadays a black-dressed blonde
In each November in each
The cold glossy marbling of a tomb.
