On the cliff edge
A Figure with a Sheath
Giant loomed.
It has been there
Since before Dawn
Right on the cliff edge.
It relished the genesis
Of Dawn and Beauty born
As Venus from a sea-shell.
Behind
A plain of rock
Stretched level.
Around
The deafening silence
Of a thousand bees.
