Human Yet Circling Round

Superman! Human yet circling Round This man is a superman At least so says he With a certain lisp With a view that I too see For all of us see specificity And This man is a superman I went to him And asked him How he became so How to that level rose How? How? He did not bring fire As Prometheus did Yet He brought a different fire His verse and his song And he chanted freely: That was a fire that he made At least as great as the fire Of Prometheus, this man, Humble, yet erect Into a Superman. He is humble He is holy He is sacred He knows the mass universe And yet goes to church Not to see but participate Devout: The Superman is a Poet Seer But not all Poet Seers be Supermen as this human. Ah! but we can all be We Can all reach The height of the level of This Superman: And more I would say More: the Superman's level In time, by dint of sacrifice, We will beat And that's Evolution And That's the flight of the steps One by one One after one After the Superman Before the Superman Come together, humans And joining together we will Raise the level The clouds will to further and Further heights soar Other Supermen will be in The making. Then we will dine Without inferiority with the Heavens. Yet In all this remain humble To be great. From golden plates then We will eat From cups of diamonds drink The stars will in the Lake Of our eyes mirrored be: We Will take golden staffs with Us Breathe and sing verse And where we tread The Earth will sacred so declare. We sacrifice long times To enjoy few Yet That enjoyment will In such level stand As a drop of it equal to An Ocean be. We will stay here Here first Here on this darkening hill Facing the beach and pebbles Hear The sounds round Whisper in our ears Thoughts Then sleep to sink Them in sub-consciousness. Then After Dawn has lighted With smiles the wry face of Earth We will arise as strong Prometheuses to will and do. Then higher level reached To the next level as by Repetition yet as by sacrifice go. I Thus higher and higher soar As you humans who follow this Plan. We will together see increasing dawns. We will together see increasing dusks We will together be increasing days. We will… We will… We will…
