The day has been slow and Steamy; the beauties of The wild beasts evaporated Merlin was in the night Here. I saw him brooding in the dark Twitching his beard; with Furrowed brow. And open book majestic. He was thinking. He was disposing. The bees around the bending Flower hum; though it be Mid-dusk and the flowers Bend Fading. Stuck to the water wall Moving here and there Baby clams tiny yet Determined. The magic in the night Has been on land and waters. The skeleton rattled sentences Moving from this to that Even in five words. Several have been waiters At night-parties of nymphs, Satyrs, fauns and the rest. Now goggle-eyed they fade In waters as the Dawn With its smile typical The waters lights. As the inhabitants Of Neptune's reign Pass The waters burrow there Open the ways And lead the ways. A rat moves slow and Nibbling by the shore where Waters and land together Kiss. I will go to my hummock And sleep there. I go to my palace Spend the night Feeling the cobwebs And the steps And paces on The ancient stairs. This I fear not. No, I fear not This. Waters Will Sleep The Parties Were Not Made In Vain The Die Is Cast The Ropes Be Ready For The Hanging The Skeletons Came From The Deep Waters Rose And Went On Land They Did Not Falter.
