Why sits firm the fir though
It be not wind in Hastings Gardens?
Why bends not the fir though
Downpour on downpour fall
In Hastings Gardens?
And why in this storm
Boughs of the fir move not?
Experience has made the fir resistant so.
And Master Time too has his finger-prints
On that resistance too.
