Arrogant Old Men

They have not grown wiser though they are growing old And they are famous and their life stories told They take good care of the Me, Myself and I But life will go on the day that they will die Responsible for bloodshed, war and hate Are these the people we should celebrate? Though physically they have known a better day In hair dye the gray that time bring they do hide away Arrogant old war men full of patriotic pride Because of them far too many have died For lives lost due to them a price they have not paid And they never admit that mistakes they have made Arrogant old men conceited and proud And sad to think many sing their praises loud.
