From Thunder Point

Saltwater and white waves as far as the eyes can see From the cliffs of Thunder Point overlooking the Pacific sea A scene that has not changed over centuries of time That has inspired the artists and the writers of stories and rhyme To sketch and to write of this wild, rugged yet beautiful place Where of the progress of humanity there is not any trace Thousands of centuries ago Warrnambool's first people such a scene did behold In the place they were born and raised in they grew wise and old They gazed on the scene that i gaze on today A link to the past not changed in any way They hunted and fished and had their corroborees until the foreigners came And their lives would never again be the same From the cliffs at Thunder Point time seems to stand still Overlooking a scene that has not changed for centuries and suppose never will The rumbling huge white waves to the cliff face does roll The Pacific today does have a restless soul I gaze on a scene that has not changed in time That inspire the artists and writers of story and rhyme A scene that is thousands of centuries old That Australia's first people used to behold.
