In Fancy I Walk In The Old Fields Again

The past may be gone but the memories remain And in fancy I walk in the old fields again And I hear dark brown dipper his breast white as snow Singing in the river his song I do know And the tiny brown wren one cannot get him wrong For one of his size he does have a loud song He and his partner seem amazing to me I've known them to raise quite a large family The only immortal of which I do know Of our Earth Mother Nature my wonder does grow I loved her as a younger man in a Land far away And despite time's passage I still love her today But we must live in the now for the past it has gone And the clock on our lives ever keeps ticking on.
