Know All

He feels he's an expert on technology, science, politics and football And some of those who know him refer to him as 'know all' And on any given subject he claims his knowledge is profound And he fancies himself the cleverest for miles and miles around. He never researches his information and sometimes he's made to look a clown For when he talks on some subjects his stories seem upside down And he's often felt embarrassed when in his exaggerations he has been found out But that's what happens when one talks on subjects that one doesn't know much about. He is not the clever fellow that he makes himself out to be He is just a local know all with an average memory And though he comes across as clever to the gullible 'twould seem In reality he is one who has a low sense of self esteem. When it comes to socializing he is one who is not shy And 'empty vessels make the most noise' to him certainly apply At the pub on saturday evening his loud voice you always hear And his volume raise a little after every glass of beer. He is one who craves attention and his reputation locally has grown As a rather empty vessel who likes to make himself known And he talks on every subject from politics to football And some like to refer to him by his nickname of know all.
