Like Many Others

Like many others i am one who has known of inner strife But i am one who has been quite lucky in life Though not known to the manager of any bank Just one who answers to Francy or Francis or Frank Addicted to rhyming over decades of time I would be long dead of hunger by now if i had to depend on rhyme For to buy food for to eat for to keep me alive But like most through the hard times i too learned to survive Most people have their addictions one has to suppose And life gives us friends and few die without foes And since for it i never receive any pay Some tell me i ought to give rhyming away But i have been rhyming for years and as a rhymer i hope to stay And i hope to be doing it until life's final day.
