Not Everyone Does

Not everyone does love their national flag Or of their nationality does love to brag Of the praises of flag and country they never does sing One might say of them this is not just their thing Not everyone does join with the football crowd In the noisy big stadium where the cheering is loud They have other interests in life to pursue That our different interestd makes us more interesting as people only happens to be true Not everyone supports the big war parade Where the names of dead war heroes are not allowed for to fade The patriotic majority have their own home grown foes In those who the celebrating of war does oppose Not everyone to others themselves does promote As the sort of people who are worthy of note The humble may well be in minority But they will not become extinct in the twenty first century Not everyone drinks alcohol or patronize a pub Or not everyone is in a community social club If we all shared the same interests how boring we would be With such an assumption would you not agree? Many of us are quite different in our own way And this makes us more interesting as people does seem true to say If we all shared the same interests and in ways thought the same We would seem very boring for want of a better name.
