November's Beauty

A lovely Spring day the wildborn birds are singing and the warm sun shining in the clear blue sky And white butterflies flitting in the flowering gardens and the dark winged swallows chirping as they fly The last week of the southern November and the southern Summer just a week away The temperatures in the low to the mid twenties this surely does rate as a perfect day, The young magpies though flying not independent to their parents for food they do beg and call And their attempt at song one might say far from perfect they will be independent and fine songsters by the Fall The young birds from the old birds always learning the future songsters of the southern Spring Of human kind they do live independent and Nature's wonders an amazing thing, Were I a poet to the Mother of Nature a poem of her four Seasons I would write A poem that the lovers of her beauty would feel happy for to read and to recite And always something to write of in Nature her wonders many and her secrets not few The only true immortal we do know of and every day from her we learn something new A day of sunshine, flowers in bloom and birdsong, November's beauty for all to admire There is so much to love about in Nature and of singing her praises one could never tire.
