Prolific But Not Terrific

Prolific but surely not terrific his comment I read From people like him one doesn't get a swollen head Sometimes the farmyard's top rooster doesn't have the loudest crow And he was only telling me something that I already know Had he read some of my stuff he would have taken note That I never refer to myself as a poet And having read his unsolicited comments I could only conclude That here is a person less informed than rude A person I do not know or may never meet Yet he told me the truth and the truth one must cop sweet Perhaps he is one who likes to have his say As for me I am different his is not my way I am not a poet but my best I do try And to this person's comment You have read my reply.
