Suppose We See In Others

If you say I write doggerel well that suits me fine Since what you think of me is your business not mine But I've never referred to myself as a poet Or as one who would be seen as worthy of literary note If you see yourself as a poet well that's okay with me You are after all what you think you must be Your title of poet good for your self esteem But with such comes responsibility or so it does seem Since poets have been blessed with the gift to create Beautiful original writing many them do celebrate For yourself you've risen your literary achievement bar But lets hope in literature you will go far An average poetaster is how you describe me Suppose we see in others what we want to see.
