In universities rhyme poetry is seen as dead And at poetry readings rhyming stuff is not often read But in Outback Australia rhyme is still alive And it's thanks to the bush poets that a tradition survive In the Bushtowns in the pubs and clubs every night They spin their bush yarns and their bush poetry recite.
