The Eastern Yellow Robins

At the verge of the wood their ticking sort of song Is one that once heard one can never get wrong With unders of yellow and head and uppers of gray Birds that i see often though not every day With spiders and insects, grasshoppers, moths and flies in their diet To see them clinging to tree trunks a familiar sight Whilst looking in silence and intently towards the ground For insects on leaf litter crawling around, Of human kind they do show so little fear And they never fly off and hide when to them i am near They search for food all day from dawn's early light Till the gloam of late evening just before darkness of night, The eastern yellow robins birds i often see Searching for insects on ground or on bush or on tree.
