Australia the big amazing Land of the south
Of often changing weather storms flooding and drought
Where in Summer in bush fires that burn far and wide
There has been grief and heartache and people have died
The land of the people of the dreaming time
That has inspired legends of story and rhyme
The true history in book form will never be told
Of a land young to some but in time very old
Australia wide has climates of varying degrees
Home to emu, kangaroo and koala and gum, wattle and pittosporum trees
Of Australia's flora and fauna so much to learn of and know
And of this amazing southern Country one's wonder only does grow
You could spend all of your lifetime driving about
And not see all of this amazing Land of the south.
