What It Is All About

Why the politically powerful in their own political parties have their greatest foes Does seem quite understandable one does have to suppose For to be leader of your Country with the aspirational in your own party you must compete And for political party leaders new challenges to their authority every day they do meet And to become the political leader of Your Country your party the opposition party has to beat Three to four years on the opposition benches is the punishment for an election defeat For the beaten party in a general election there is soul searching and self doubt As in life in politics winning is what it is all about In parliament between the government and opposition members insults are traded every day And nice things of each other they seldom does have to say That for winners there has to be losers as most realize And the winning political party on election night does take the big prize For the beaten party leaders the political knives are out In politics as in life power is what it is all about.
