When We Ask Ourselves

For most of us there are times when we find it hard to smile When we ask ourselves is life really worthwhile? But even when hope out of us does seem gone The will to live makes us want to live on Poverty is to be found everywhere And millions of people in the big World out there Are sleeping on park benches or uncovered on the ground The homeless of the World in numbers abound Of riches I am one who cannot boast But I know that I am luckier than most Milllions of exposure to weather and malnutrition every year do die The poor people far less lucky than I We may have little to smile about but would you not agree That there are millions worse off than you or me?
