Death! Come For Me While I Sleep Within A Dream...

And, Death asked, ''Is there anything I can do for you 'fore I silence yo'r body so your soul may be deliver'd? I said, 'Death come for me while I sleep within a dream', Let me jaunt one last time upon paths I once journeyed In my final dream, let me be the Knight at three o'clock- That slews th' anti-Christ at th' strike of the Devils hour. In my life I've long romanced th' mighty pen of solitude In a world I built thick from walls of dream, and image. And, in th' mute of deafened tongue my pen bespeaks; Isolation, not loneliness, but my chance to endeavor Into th' mind of my fascinations and heart that dwells In my soul revealing openly- sweet images of my Life. And, asleep in dead-dream, I am th' epitome of solace, I sail on a sea of confidence, with faith my only anchor. The fallen angel screams in tortured angst...and seethes; I cross Perdition to th' other side, where light awaits me. For, it is here, Death, I ask thee...to spend my final hour, In a dream sewing seeds on wings that Michael soared. Bring down the night and your seraphs flight- upon me, Carry me to my final home 'fore I feel tomorrows dawn. Raise me gently please.....as my final dream must climax; I have so much to contemplate....upon this journey, vast. There are people I will leave behind, in my private world, Memories, both black 'n gold, some rue but mostly good. So I ask You now, with kind request..... and humble heart, I will do my penance...pace the halls of purgatory.... will I, And, tho' far from pious virtue...... still the same I ask you, Death...!
