What a courageous act!
From a man who loved children most
When everybody was moving to safety
He did not leave children behind in the country
He was not forced to leave
Yet he believed
In the act of humanity
That is what is praised daily
Even after 70 years of holocaust
He has been trusted
For his act of stubbornness
His face shown no remorse
He preferred the death chamber
Along with children and preferred
The death rather than the life and refused
Any pardon and died
Janusz corczak may be remembered for his heroic act
It was a great humanitarian fact
The people shall take his name with pride
As nations may leap forward
