To A Father

Altın Yaprak
I witnessed and wept
At the sad plight in which he was kept
In the old age
He was put in cage
Lying in corner
No one to look after
No special care
I considered it as not fair
Do we not owe anything?
To a person for something
For coming into this beautiful world
And being treated in a manner so cold
I find large people in homeless building
Some of them feel shy and go into hiding
For the fear of honor being compromised
Or for the want of not getting ashamed
Yes, we are thankless animal
This is not once incidence to reveal
Each and every home has sad tale
Our system has totally failed
We care for no sentiments
Old people die sadly with bad comments
Treated shabbily at home and no where welcome
God has to descend once more to see or come
