Death Comes

Death comes slower than a turtle And faster than a speeding bullet. Death comes very quick or very subtle. We owe that money, that elusive debt That we must pay with our individual life. Some of you may cry or may laugh. We all will go under and drown one day. Life is horizontal and goes only one way. No one comes back to see the light. We can linger on, but we will lose the fight. Death comes slower than a three-toed sloth And faster than a deadly accidental missile. Death is uglier than a disguised moth. Death can only destroy, kill and steal; That's the heavy price that we pay for life.
