I got up, picked a broom That I put underneath the bed. The television Was on all night long. I could not fall asleep. I tried to read, but was too tired to do so. I didn’t know what to do. I got up to pray, Then quickly realized that the pain was very deep. Since you left, since you fled, since you walked away, I’ve been living a nightmare. It has been a real fiasco. I cannot stop loving you; I cannot forget your smile. I cannot erase your echo from my eardrums. At times, I thought I saw you next to the colorful mums, Where your scent still embalms the bathroom and the aisle.
