I'm Going To Drink Under The Black Moon

Tonight Under the black moon I am going to drink More than Carl Brouard To forget my troubles. When I drink alone In the woods Near the river In wintertime I feel frustrated, far from the green smiles. Mother Nature is white I no longer see the beautiful hips The hot, unsheltered and bituminous summers So I feel saddened and annoyed. Far from the umbrella shaped petticoats I get angry, strange, bored Inebriated to live better And get lost to be happy. Tomorrow is the last day of carnival I'll boogie in the dirty streets Where I will avoid the banal cabals Then, disguised as a drunk, I'll be at the ball. Haitian poet, Carl Brouard Wherever the hell you are tonight At the bottom of the funnel After all, I'll read your poems, write and drink Then I'll shut the closet door very hard. P.S.
