Listen; Listen To Your Surroundings

Listen; listen to the words, to the poetry Listen; listen to the rhythms, to the melody Stop breathing to listen Be quiet all men and women It is very important to pay attention Something big is about to happen Listen, use your imagination Listen to the harrowing wind in action Read the words of the new constitution Look at the trees, observe the rain I mean the raindrops, listen to Mother Nature Be careful, change your posture Listen; listen to the words, to the prose Listen; listen to the rhythms, to the pause The babies are crying The birds are chirring The crowd is not cheering The fake cops are hiding Something is happening The church bells are ringing Sometimes, it's better to listen more To your surroundings. On the shore The sunbathers are panicking They are getting dress and racing To be in a safer place What a rush! What a race! Listen; listen more to be out of trouble Listen; death is sudden and subtle Listen more, observe more, and talk less To avoid making a colossal and deadly mess.
