Nobody wants to be blocked
In front of the gate of Heaven
Even the worst criminals, on the block
For a pass, cringe, mourn and yearn.
Nobody wants to be black
Bruised, brindled and brown
But one day, all will be as dark
As the charcoal of the early dawn.
Under many feet of dirt
Spoiled, powerless, helpless and rotten
No conspicuous or visible pants or skirt.
We'll be twins in the dungeon
After realizing that we're brothers
And sisters, at the mercy of countless critters.
