When you are famous When you are a glamorous Jokester You’re not seen as a sinner Even when the bell rings When you do or say bad things You are instantly forgiven You’re living in a man-made heaven Not dying in a special Auspice oven You basically free to roam and to rant When you are famous Even at Lent You’re not taken too seriously And not criticized too severely Michael Jackson is posthumously more famous So is Maya Angelou, our courageous Star and multi-talented sister A scribble on a piece of paper Of anything by those siblings is a big deal Oprah is famous Obama is famous Hilton is famous Trumpy is famous Everything that they do is a steal A big deal; this is amazing They are rarely marginalized Very often celebrated for nothing And appreciated for everything Under the moon Even when they get the tune The song wrong They are applauded like the king Or queen of Hong Kong This is incredibly amazing When you’re famous You can do nothing wrong People are always generous Toward you. Like an old song The beat is unforgettable The emotions are alive at the table When you are famous You live a different and interesting life You can call your children: North, South West, East, Brown, Ivory, J lo, and Blue Just to name a few And people won’t laugh at you.
