186. My Millstone

In 2008 I was given a millstone to wear it was not very big at the time about the size of a ring the thin silver chain supporting it fitted round my neck comfortably I wore it only out of love a duty that I felt I should perform as long as it stays like this I thought this will not be a problem But from 2010 it started to grow not noticeable at first but the size was increasing that was not the only problem the stone was getting heavier every day It started getting in the way and by 2013 it was starting to drag weighing down with it's huge size holding me back from what I needed to do In 2015 the chain snapped the stone tumbled from where it hung I was able to surge forward again leaving the weight where it lay I haven't gone back to retrieve it have moved on too much to care while I swim on the lake's surface the mill stone has long be sunk never to be seen again
