You think you're the purest platinum
but you're just a common ore
not worth the bother to study
or the effort to smelt
even in nature there is purity
and the world is better for it
it would be a sad day for the world
if you were the best thing in it
Some things shine naturally
beautiful inside and out
apparently with wonderful ease
whereas you sit there everyday
at best dull and uninteresting
Can't say you're even memorable
your name doesn't spring to mind
not even going to need to remember
as you are a waste of time
