Crowded terminal Oakland Airport.....
The exact time somewhere between
From the balcony...a smiling face
....Etched in my mind the day
Flaming hair of tresses red
....Her dress....a mixture grey
That's how we met I can't forget
How our friendship came to be
.....Without fail I think of her
My friend...I seldom....see
Always platonic not at all demonic
Romance...never once intervened
Ours...a decades-old caring friendship
