She Drank Directly From The Tree

She drank directly from the Tree, causing the Bush to Swell, an explosion of green leaves She knelt where silver sap ran bright, A stream of stars in golden light, With lips of thirst and hands of grace, She drank and left no earthly trace. The tree, in trembling, breathed her in, Its branches swayed, its roots grew thin, A pulse of green surged through the land, As if it woke to touch her hand. The bushes swelled, the vines untwined, Soft petals burst like songs unchained, A hush, a gasp—the wind stood still, Enchanted by her quiet determined will. The leaves unfurled, a thousand tongues, Singing where the silence hung, And in the branches, high and free, She rose, a shadow, part of the tree.
