Your little friend would love a gilet
One which looks the same as mine.
It's only knit one, purl one
To the end of every line.
The gilet must be knitted
In colours gay and bright,
So I suggest a golden colour
With a fleck of white.
Crochet around the edges
With wool of emerald green
And complete with pretty buttons
That glow with silver sheen.
Then parcel it quite carefully
And send it through the mail,
This super-stylish garment
Will delight ~ and never fail.
Your little friend will look just fine
In a gilet knitted for a girl of nine.
