Big Carp

There's a big old carp down below, He's not good to eat, but I want to know, If I can bring him out for a foto op, But he stays on the bottom, and never comes up. Mixed up some bran flakes and some Big Red, I hope he is still down there, and has'nt fled, Got a salt water reel, and a big long pole, Big enough to reach him, in his deep dark hole. Sitting in the shade, of a hackberry tree, Eating a sandwich, my wife made for me, Watching the sun come up in the east, And hoping and praying I can hook the beast. I think that he's laughing at me, down below, Thinking that sooner or later, I'll just have to go. I've tried different baits, that he just ignores, Even catfish bait and some plastic lures. And he just continues swimming down there, Staring up through the water, We're really some pair. Playing our mind games, day in and day out, I might get me a club, and just give him a clout. 6/9/10 29 palms ca.
