Every Now And Then

Altın Yaprak
Every now and then, I wander back,
To see you once again.
Self control I seem to lack,
Do I really need this pain?
But like the swallows return each year,
To that mission far away.
I just return to shed new tears,
I do it come what may.
And everytime it's the same old thing,
Life has passed us by.
It's too late now the birds don't sing,
Too many clouds float in the sky.
There was a time it could have worked,
That's how our cards were dealt.
Life doesn't stop, it's full of quirks,
Even though great love we felt.
