He Went To Perth

My second son the staff sargent, Sailed to Australia with the fleet. With 2/4 he went wherever he was sent, And there went ashore just to dry his feet. He found masculine men, and beautiful girls, And right away he felt at ease. Some of the best people in the whole world, And this tough staff sargent, was very pleased. He and his Marines downed a few cold beers, With all the locals that had gathered round. They were met with joyful shouts and cheers, In that wonderful Australian town. Perth is the name of that town he was in, And he loves the Aussies to this very day. In them Americans have wonderful friends, If he'd had his druthers, he would have stayed. 8/01/10 Alton Texas
