I Hear Voices

I hear voices late at night,
After I'm in bed.
After I turn off the lights,
But maybe they're just in my head.
But I know I hear voices, now and then,
When all's quiet in the house.
When outside there's no more din,
And the lights have all been doused.
And sometimes I think I see,
A little wisp go floating by.
My daughter says it's only me,
And then softly starts to cry.
But I know, I know there's something,
That hangs around me still.
Cause I can hear the voices sing,
But they don't produce a chill.
I hear the voices and I feel warm,
And I feel a gentle peace.
I know they'd never cause me harm,
They just put me at ease.
