Irish Eyes

I behold, an Emerald Isle within your eyes, the blowing wind, the meadows, the glens. Clouds tumbling fast, over stormy skies, rain falling gently, on your olive skin. My soul is lost in your amber eyes, I lost it there so long ago. They smiled at me, and drew a sigh, I lost it then, in their star lit glow. I caught a Leprechaun one day, and he showed to me his pot of gold. At the foot of a rainbow the treasure lay, And that treasure, is the woman I now hold. These eyes that look at me, so tenderly, have held me captive all my life. There's just one pair that they could be, The Irish eyes of my sweet wife. The most beautiful eyes I can attest, that brought this loner to his knee, And Saints preserve us this is no jest, they locked me up and kept the key. 5/21/10 29 palms ca.
