My True Love's Call

She calls to me, across the miles, From oh so far away. Just like a woman, with her wiles, I hear her everyday. I feel her presence in my soul, Tugging at my inner core. Never timid, always bold, And I miss her more, and more. Her name Mojave, and I know, To her I must return. And now I find I miss her so, My love she never spurned. And now I hear her all the time, She's in my heart for good. I must return, to that desert clime, My heart says that I should. I left her once and now I know, I was a fool to leave. And every time the west wind blows, My heart for her does grieve. I will go back, I swear to you, I'll walk your sands again. If it's the last thing that I do, Only you, can ease my pain. 9/10/11 Alton Texas
