The Catfish Are Biting

The catfish are biting, on most anything, Yellows and channel cats too. So many bites I just wanna sing, They might even bite a bit of old shoe. I got some good ones, on my stringer right now, Caught them on night crawlers fast. They'll be so good fried up for chow, This kind of luck, God let it last. Some twelve year old boy, just hauled one in, Big ole ten pound thing. Writhing and flapping, it's very sharp fins, Hey he just landed him, cha ching. Supper will be special, oh yes, to say the least. Maybe some cornbread on the side, And some taters to complete the feast, My sheer pleasure I just can't hide. 12/29/10 Alton Texas
